Full-Time ALT at a prestigious girls' JHS/HS in central Fukuoka (dispatch)（到期)

A private girls' junior and senior high school in central Fukuoka City is looking for a full-time ALT with experience teaching at HIGH school (classroom setting with 30-40 students) in Japan.

The position begins in April 2025 and is offered on a one-year contract through Brain Academy. The contract may be renewed based on performance and mutual agreement.

In the first year, the role is as an ALT. If you demonstrate the ability to teach English independently, there is a possibility of being hired directly by the school for a long-term position. The school would plan to apply for a teaching license with the local board of education to allow solo teaching.

The students are motivated and easy to teach, with current teachers giving positive feedback.

This opening is due to the current teacher being hired directly by the school next April after two years with Brain Academy.

Duty:
approximately 16 lessons and its preparation
test, marking, and assessment
class management
meetings with Japanese teachers
event support
extracurricular activities

Salary:
300,000 - 320,000 yen a month
3,600,000 -3,840,000 yen a year

*to be paid 12 times a year

Working hour:
modified labor system
most days:8:30-17:30 with 60 min break
Saturdays: 8:30-12:30
most days in summer: 8:30-12:30

Day off: Sunday, and national holidays/ school holidays
Holiday: summer break, winter break

Social insurance:
pension premium, health insurance, employment insurance, and industrial accident insurance

Commuting allowance:
reimbursed at maximum 35,000 yen per month.

Requirement:
current resident in Japan
teaching experience at HS for +3 years, ideally
Japanese communication skill (N3, or N2 ideally)

BA major in Education, English, creative writing, and literature
