and certified English teachers in Fukuoka city for the 2025-26 school year.

The teachers will be assigned to an esteemed private elementary school in Fukuoka city.

The private school requires topnotch English teachers with relative experience,
skills, certification, and a good personality. The teacher's ability will not solely
be judged by what is on the resume; other evaluated criteria are teaching
methods, student motivation techniques, and creating an environment conducive
to student learning (teacher's personality, class layout, etc.), and so on.

Here are the details;

[Term] April 2025 ~ March 2026 (Renewable)
*There's a possibility that you will be able to renew the contract
from April 2026 if you get a good reputation from the school.
[Place] Fukuoka city, Fukuoka
[Type of school] Private girls' Catholic Elementary school
[Contract type] Direct-Hired
[Salary] 3,800,000~4,600,000 JPY / year + transportation fee
*Including 4.5 months' bonus, Housing allowance: up to 27,000 yen
*One year renewable contract with the possibility of tenure for qualified teachers.
*After renewing the contract for around three years and receiving high evaluations, there is a possibility of securing tenure, which would further increase your salary.
[Requested schedule by client] 5 days/week (Mon-Fri)
*If some events are held on Saturday, they will ask you to attend them.
[Working time] 7:50 am-5:00 pm
[Holidays] i) Saturday and Sunday, ii) Japanese National Holidays, iii) Golden Week, Summer Holiday, Winter Holiday, iv) Paid holidays.

●JOB DETAILS●
- You would be expected to complete all pastoral roles of an Elementary School homeroom teacher to support students while at school with support of a Japanese co-homeroom teacher.
- As homeroom teacher you will teach English, Maths, Science, PE and Home Economics in English, in addition to all school events for the grade you are assigned to.
- The school follows the Ministry of Education curriculum, and this curriculum is followed and taught in English for the above subjects.
- The school has a Catholic history and we teach this as part of our daily schedule (no religious requirement)
- This is not a recruitment for an Assistant Language (ALT) position, and is ideal for candidates who are able and would like to be the main teacher for a class.
- Students have very high levels of academic ability, and are looking for a teacher who is excited to support and challenge them daily.

●Requirements & Preferences●
- We will consider applicants with a full teaching license from their home country (elementary preferred, but not essential)
- Applicants must have native-level English speaking ability.
- Applications from candidates currently in Japan will be highly favoured.
- Experience and ability to follow a curriculum using a constructivist, project-based approach alongside an understanding of second language acquisition
