MS/HS PE Teacher（到期)

Our Schools: Osaka and Senri International Schools of Kwansei Gakuin are two sister schools
situated in north Osaka that share a campus, purpose, and mission. Osaka International
School (OIS) is a K-12 school of 270 students that offers the International Baccalaureate (IB)
curriculum and Senri International School (SIS) has 522 students following the Japanese
middle and high school curriculum approved by the Japanese Ministry of Education. We
bring together the best of Japanese and non-Japanese educational ideas, systems, and
techniques. This enables OIS students and faculty to make authentic connections with
Japanese culture and traditions, while SIS students and faculty experience a genuinely
international environment unavailable at a regular Japanese school.

Physical education classes are a part of our shared programs. Lessons are taught in English
with students from OIS and SIS studying together. This means that students of varying English levels will be in the classes.
The PE curriculum includes team sports, racquet sports, swimming, track and field, dance,
synchronized swimming, gymnastics, etc. It also includes fitness, strength and conditioning,
and health education. IB Middle Years Programme unit planners are used.

We are looking for a teacher who loves teaching, is passionate about health and fitness, and
can work in a multicultural environment. You must be able to teach in English and include
some English as an Additional Language techniques in your teaching. Some Japanese language
ability would be beneficial.

We offer a competitive rate calculated by the number of classes taught and including holidays.
A commuting allowance is also paid. The position is ideally suited to a local resident or a
travelling spouse, not in need of relocation, allowances or other benefits that come with a fulltime position.
The number of teaching hours will be confirmed prior to each term and is subject to change
based on the needs of the curriculum. Typically, there will be 12 hours per week. This is a yearlong contract with the possibility of renewal based on the agreement of both parties.
