English Teacher
We are looking for a motivated full-time teacher to join our team of education professionals. The ideal candidate will have extensive experience, be personable and flexible, and be able to work both independently and as part of a team. This is an independent teaching position in which you will be responsible for teaching classes on your own, not as an assistant.

One year contract, renewable up to three years
Working term: April 1, 2025 - March 31, 2026
Schedule: Regular shift: 10:00-6:45 (including one hour break)
Early shift : 8:40-5:00 (including one hour break)
Other types of work shifts: 8:40-5:30, and 7:40-5:00 in case of school events, entrance
exams, or open campus duties
On a five-day work basis, Monday through Friday
*In case of school events, you are required to work on Saturday, Sunday, or national holiday, but you will be given a substitute day off instead.
*Three times a year, in the case of EIKEN test preparation, you will be required to work
overtime for one hour once or twice.
No work days: Saturdays, Sundays, and National holidays (unless there is a school event)
*Exception: November 3rd is traditionally a work day
Summer vacation: three days (August 13, 14, 15)
Winter vacation: seven days (December 29, 30,31, January 1, 2, 3, 4)
Ten paid holidays for the first year *5 days available in the first 6 months, and
5 days available in the latter 6 months.
Pair Teaching: Regular Lessons with Japanese English teacher: 10:00-3:30
Between 5 and 10 lessons per week (five in 2024)
Based on regular textbooks
Independent Language Center Lessons: 4:00-6:45
Teaching group lessons mainly for the International Program students
The number of lessons is 15 per week
Contents: A variety of Conversation, Discussion, Debate, Eiken, TOEIC, TOEFL,
workbooks, and authentic materials are used.
Pay and Benefits: Yearly pay: ¥3,770,000 (Monthly pay: ¥260,000
Bonus: June ¥200,000, December ¥375,000, March ¥75,000
Transportation reimbursed
Health insurance (Private High School Kyosai Hoken)
Other Duties: Monthly newsletter (two or three times a year for each teacher)
Interview practice for university entrance exams, Eiken speaking tests,
exchange programs, etc.
Occasional correction of writing for Saturday Program, university entrance
exams, Eiken preparation, exchange programs, etc.
May be asked to teach occasional junior high school classes
