Are you passionate about Japanese culture and ready to make it a part of your career? Do you have experience in a customer-facing role dealing with all people from all walks of life? Is your love for all things Japan contagious? Then we want to hear from you! Untold Japan is a travel agency exclusively serving luxury clients by creating tailor-made bespoke tours all over Japan. Our customer base is growing rapidly and we are now seeking tour guides and planners to help introduce our customers to the many wonders of Japan.

Responsibilities include:

Tour Guiding: Conduct captivating tours all over Japan, providing informative and engaging narratives to clients along the way.
Client Interaction: Build strong relationships with clients by addressing their needs, answering questions, and ensuring an all-around memorable experience.
Itinerary Creation: Work closely with the sales and customer communication team to contribute to the development of tour itineraries and enhance the overall customer experience.
Scheduling and Coordination: Assist in organizing and coordinating tour logistics, including transportation, accommodations, and activities.

Requirements:

Domestic Travel Experience: Some travel around Japan is necessary, showcasing a deeper understanding and passion for Japan's culture, history and sights.
Language Proficiency: Fluent in English and preferably business-level proficiency in Japanese to communicate effectively with clients, suppliers and team members.
Customer-facing Experience: At least 1 year in a customer-facing role, demonstrating a customer-centric approach, communicating effectively with a dedication to providing exceptional service to clients.
Adaptability: Ability to adapt to the needs of a diverse range of personalities and handle unexpected situations with professionalism.
Flexibility: In both the ability to quickly react to unexpected situations as well as irregular work hours. Tour agencies are open year-round and this role involves irregular hours.
