Description

Global Village International Preschool is now hiring for the 2018/2019 School year. In some circumstances, an accomplished candidate may be offered an earlier start date.

An effective early childhood provision lays the foundation for, and positively influences, a child's future.

We are seeking experienced preschool teachers who are able to appreciate and support each unique child in their care. Teachers who are able to cultivate children's natural desire to learn, by working in partnership with the children, fellow teachers, parents and the school community as a whole.

As a learning community, we are responsible for providing a positive, safe environment that supports all children’s physical, emotional, and social development as well as their academic growth, while in our care. We believe that learning and engagement is most effective in an environment where the process is as important as the result itself and with lessons and activities that have a practical meaning in their lives.

As preschool teachers, we have the privilege of accompanying children on their learning journey, which contains moments of exploration and discovery, going beyond meeting developmental or academic milestones.

We are seeking patient, caring and enthusiastic teachers to join our community; practitioners whose knowledge and passion for early childhood education helps to ensure that each child develops self-confidence and a willingness to "have a go"; educators who can recognise and capitalise on everyday "teachable moments".

Candidates must be native English speakers (from an English-speaking country), and have proven experience working with young children. A desire for long term commitment is viewed positively.

We offer visa sponsorship, transportation allowance, paid vacation, Japanese pension and health insurance (optional), performance bonus and ongoing training. There are also opportunities for advancement within our schools.

Candidates that meet our requirements, will be invited for an interview from mid-September onwards.
