*Desk warming position: Home Stand-by / Substitute Teacher in Tokyo （到期)

Iware Co., Ltd. (株式会社 アイウエア) is currently looking for an experienced, skilled, and certified English Home Stand-by /Substitute Teacher (Tokyo)

We are looking for qualified individuals to work in a flexible part-time position as a Home stand-by substitute teacher either on Tuesdays or Thursdays or both of them as your schedule allows. You will be paid regardless of whether you have substitute work on that day or not, and this is a desk warming position if there is no substitution, so please look at the details below.

[Term] September 2022- March 2023
[Contract type] Outsourcing contract
[Payment] Standby at home : 3,500 JPY / day
*If you have a substitution, the payment will be 7,000 JPY / day＋transportation fee
[Days] Any days Tuesdays or Thursdays depending on your preference
[Time] 9:00am-3:30pm
*Includes 1-hour lunch break
*If we need your help with substitution, we will make a phone call on the day before or
from around 6:00 am to 8:30 am, so please be on standby on your working days.
Even if you do not receive any emergency phone call from us until 9 am, please be on standby
for emergency and work from home until 3:30 pm.

[Work Contents from home]
During standby at your home, you may be asked to:
Correct some English emails, and documents, make lesson plans, translate (if possible)...

If we don't have any specific requests for standby work, you'll have plenty of free time
during Stand-by at your home to do any or all of the followings:
・Preparation for your classes
・Studying Japanese through the internet
・Studying TESOL through the internet (There has been a teacher who has already gotten their certificate!)
・Updating your SNS
・Chat with your friends

However, basically, you are not allowed to make an appointment like a hospital and hair salon
as well as accepting another job during this contract hour and you must go substitution when
it's needed at any of our client schools for any reason except for serious sickness, injury, and influenza, etc.

[Work Contents for substitution]
If a substitution is needed, you will be sent to various schools around the Kanto area
(Kanagawa, Chiba, Tokyo). Together with an Iware staff, you will go to the school
where you must substitute and teach some lessons based on the original schedule.
*You have to work based on our client's school's schedule, and there is a possibility
that you will work until 5:00 pm at the latest depending on the client's school.
*If your total working hours will be exceeded by 5 hours and 30 minutes except for
the 1-hour break, you can adjust the time on the next standby day.

If you are unable to work for any reason, please inform us at least 2 weeks in advance.
You will be unable to receive payment for that day.
