We are a small International Preschool/After School and Kindergarten that has been operating since 2011 in Musashi Kosugi. We have a position open for an experienced full time Preschool/After school teacher to join our team. The right applicant would be required to teach Preschool class in the morning followed by After school class in the afternoon. Our school teaches British English only.
1 class a week is dedicated to a baby and mummy class in between Preschool and After school and a rotating roster for Saturday class with the other native teachers.

The position being offered is for a full time teacher, so the hours would be Mon-Fri 09:30-18:30 with a 1hr break between classes. Any overtime worked is paid at the end of the month.
On a rotating Saturday roster 09:30-14:00, all to be at our Musashi Kosugi center.

We pay for your travel to and from home, the national health insurance. All public holidays are days off and our summer holiday's are the Japanese Obon break and 2 weeks total over the Christmas/New year period. 10 paid days off are also included in employment for sick days, Immigration appointments etc.

The right applicant will be required to teach in a team environment but also be able to work independently to achieve the set goals of a preschool or after school. Lesson planning would be done in a group with the bilingual teaching staff. Class preparation which includes organising worksheets, craft preparation, filing the children's worksheets away, school cleaning etc. will also be all done together as a team.
You will be responsible for the growth and nurturing of many young children and guiding them towards the step up to our Kindergarten as well as having a laugh and enjoying being surrounded by lots of children.

We would prefer to have an experienced, early education minded teacher that is willing to stay with us on a long term basis. Being able to control a class of about 15 young children is a must! Being a British/Australian English speaking teacher is preferred but not essential to the right applicant.
Following a curriculum and a daily schedule is a necessity but you will be free to choose the way you teach the monthly curriculum through games, songs and activities and craft.

If you are a confident, energetic, team player, love to have fun and laugh with children, hard working and able to think on your feet without constant guidance then this position is for you. Being a teacher is a very important position, especially in a young child's early development, so if you think you can be that teacher, then please apply.
Sorry, only successful applicants will be contacted further.
