English Teacher -Chiba (expired)

[Position Abstract]
English Teacher position at English Filed School in the south area of Chiba; Minamiboso city, next to Tateyama city and Kamogawa city.
If you live far from the school, it's required to come to school and teach for 2 days/week (Thursday and Friday).
If you live close to the school, it's required to come and teach for 2 days - 4 days/week.

This private English after school locates in the countryside, surrounded by great nature.
We have an excellent soccer field in front of the school and kids play soccer there at night.

As we locate in such a countryside, I think there're three types of applicants to apply this position;
1. who lives near Minamiboso, Tateyama and Kamogawa so is possible to commute to the school from the place you live in.
2. who lives in around Tokyo but is capable to commute to school for just two days (stay at a hotel for one night).
3. who wants to relocate to Japanese rural area with great nature, especially the sea.

If you fit one of them, it's certain that this position must be wonderful and make your career and life better.
Kids are really great (fortunately there's no bad/mean kid!) and parents are kind, we have something like a bond of family so you can get relaxed here.


[Place]
Minamiboso city; the bottom of Chiba, next to Tateyama city and Kamogawa city
It takes about 1 and an half hours from here to Tokyo by car and around 3 hours by train or bus.


[Work]
The work is just teaching English including managing the classes.
This position is special as the teacher can make lesson plans and systems of classes so you can teach the way you want to teach. You have little to follow some teaching systems or directions from your manager. Of course, you can have them if you want and also there's a good support from the manager.

Also the teacher is required to cooperate making some lesson videos (it doesn't take much time; an hour/week), and holding some events for the school.

The manager might be often out of the town so the teacher is almost alone and needs to operate the school. (note: for the first month, the manager can come to school to support.)
However, there's little to do except teaching as the manager can handle customers and other things.


[Work Time]
Can choose how many days a week you work.
At least 2 days a week. Up to 4 days a week.
The core time is around 4:30 pm - 8:30 pm.
The schedule can be flexible, meaning can be adjusted for the teacher's schedule for the first time.
After fixed, it's almost fixed.


[Salary]
2,500 - 3,000 yen /hour; around 10,000 - 12,000 yen/day
Depending on how many days a week you can work, what skill you have and the degree of your commitment.


[Allowance]
・Tax is included and the teacher needs to declare/pay the tax by him/herself. (The manager can support.)

・The actual expense is paid by the company.

-Transportation fare: up to 7,000 yen /round-trip.

-Hotel fee for one night: up to 7,000 yen (when you need to stay at a hotel).

・The company can provide a moped or a bicycle for free (when you commute from the nearest station to the school).



[Work Period]
Starting on mid-March, 2019 (or on April; as soon as possible)
We hope the teacher to continue working longer (at least a year).

・Native level English (Required)
・Teaching experience (Desired)
・Teaching qualifications (Desired; not necessary)
・Japanese skill (Desired; not necessary)

We'd like to welcome the teacher who has an enthusiasm for teaching and loves teaching/kids.


[Conditions]
・The applicant has to have a valid visa now.
(The company can sponsor the visa and apply the extension.)

・The applicant has to have some qualifications like TEFL, TESOL or CELTA.
If you don't have one of them, you can take TEFL Online course (40 hours).
Actually it doesn't take so long and the company can pay the fee for the course.
Therefore you can apply even if you don't have either of them.


Before applying, please check the place of our school/city and how to commute.
It can be bother to commute from around Tokyo and it takes long time.
We'd like to avoid that the applicants don't understand the place and tell us they can't commute.
