Description

We are looking for passionate teachers who love teaching children. BE A REAL EARLY YEARS TEACHER!

If you are the type of teacher that takes pride in the progression of their children, goes the extra mile for them and wants to work in an environment that promotes professional development, freedom for teachers to teach their own methods and concentrate on a small group of children over the course of the year, we want to meet you!

We are a small school with big goals. We want to gather a team of educators to change the attitude towards language acquisition and early years education in Saitama.

The school is run by someone passionate about childhood development and experience-based learning. If you understand that language is not something to be taught, but a medium of learning in, then you already understand the method we are trying to promote.

Our school is about nurturing the whole child and not just their language ability. We base our school on the British EYFS framework. How you implement it, set up your classroom and schedule is up to you. You will have the freedom to use your own strengths and passions to create an environment that is fun, exciting and challenging for young minds.

We want to find people that enjoy their job and do it because they want to, not for the paycheck. We want ideas, contribution and a proactive attitude. We will do our best to keep the right talent and compensate accordingly.

The necessary hours are between 0800-1600 Mon-Fri, but there are opportunities to teach in our afternoon and weekend programs for extra money.

We aim for truly bilingual graduates by restricting the class sizes to 6 per teacher in an entirely English only environment; this gives you the opportunity to focus on each child's strengths and weaknesses. The downside to this is that we work with very thin margins and cannot offer the types of high salaries that 16-20 per class schools can provide. However, we are in the process of diversifying the business to be able to make the school more profitable as a whole with the goal of being able to add high compensation to the list of benefits of working with us.

We have a school dog and cat so those with allergies/phobias need not apply.

The only requirements are that you were raised in the English language and have the grasp of the language required to pass on to young children and the motivation to learn, grow and contribute to a fledgeling school. We do not sponsor visas for new candidates; we will only renew visas for people we have got to know over at least six months.

We will try our best to provide training, but we expect a team member to spend a certain amount of their own time developing their skills and figuring out what they can do to contribute to the school as a whole.

There are possibilities for career development as we would like to find the right person to run the preschool as a head teacher.

Attitude is the first thing we are looking for, previous EIKAIWA experience has some benefits, but we are looking for early years educators. If you have relevant experience outside of English teaching, this will also be considered.
