THE JOB:
As an Art Sales Associate, you will live and work onboard a cruise ship. While assisting the art team and program onboard as an Associate, you will get on-the-job training through our Auctioneer Development Program with guided mentorship, with the goal of eventually leading your own program as Art Auctioneer. Through auctions, seminars, and other events, you will engage audiences in the world of art, helping them to gain appreciation and understanding.

After a career onboard, some of our auctioneers go in our land auction, VIP Sales, and shoreside management departments.

Specific Job Duties:
• Consultative sales conversations with cruise ship guests
• Delivering presentations, seminars, live art auctions
• Holding audience attention, encourage audience participation
• Creating and designing marketing collateral
• Setting up art displays

Preferred Qualifications:
• 6+ months public speaking, entertainment, or teaching experience
• The ability to travel and work abroad on a cruise ship for 5 months at a time
• A desire to learn on the job, training to become an Auctioneer

Successful candidates will receive company assistance in obtaining a C1/D Visa. Please note that the cost of Visa is reimbursable and requires a process that takes approximately 2 weeks.

Compensation consists of a variable base salary with additional uncapped commissions. Living costs while onboard are minimal (meals, transportation and room/board are covered by company).
