Discovery is a small privately owned preschool, kindergarten, day care, and afternoon school for elementary age children.  We are located on the eastern edge of Nagoya City. Our day program has approximately 50 children of various nationalities aged 18m~6 years.  Most students are ELL's.

Immediate opening for a Full-Time Kindergarten Teacher (Native English speaker)
We are presently seeking an experienced early childhood educator for a full-time position on a 1-year renewable contract. The successful candidate will be working in an environment where each team member's dedication and contributions are valued and essential to the continued improvement of our learning programs and to school growth. Discovery families are highly appreciative of the quality of our programs along with the enthusiasm, dedication, and motivation of our educators. The successful candidate will clearly demonstrate these qualities, along with a solid understanding of early childhood development.

Main Responsibilities:
-Daily preschool or kindergarten team-teacher, 1-2 afternoon elementary ESL classes/week, day care duties
-Develop and implement emergent projects
-Create and manage documentation of learning (daily reports, online and physical displays, portfolios, etc.)
-Plan and participate in parent-teacher conferences, community discussions and school events
-Contribute to school development
-Maintain learning spaces and materials

Qualifications:
-Native English speaker
-Early childhood teaching and care experience
