Elementary Grade 6 Home Room Teacher/Teaching Assistant/Co-teacher（到期)

Required for August start, grade 6 homeroom teacher or teaching assistant for an international school in Kobe.

At the higher end of the salary scale you will be a qualified elementary school teacher with experience teaching at international school or at elementary/primary school in your own home country and be available to start in August. Relocation assistance can be provided for teachers moving from other parts of Japan or abroad.

At the lower end of the scale you will have experience working as a teaching assistant in an international school setting. To apply for the teaching assistant position you must live within commuting distance of the school.

Contract hours: 8:15-16:15, Monday - Friday. Additional preparation hours expected. Homeroom teachers teach all subjects except Japanese, Music, PE, and Art for up to twenty-five 45 minute periods a week.

Due to the sudden nature of this vacancy, we are open to hiring a qualified homeroom teacher who could teach their own grade 6 class, or a qualified co-teacher for a large class who will teach with our existing experienced grade 6 homeroom teacher and co-plan and/or receive on the job training as necessary. We will also consider an unqualified assistant teacher in the same role at the lower end of the salary scale. The assistant teacher may receive a short-term contract.

Teachers will be enrolled in the school's health insurance plan.
