As a member of the Osaka YMCA family of schools, Our focus on inquiry-based learning, student leadership and agency derives from our YMCA roots. We endeavour to make powerful connections with the community and in doing so aim to support our students to become globally connected citizens.

The suggested annual salary for this position (not including a variety of allowances) is between 4,500,000 and 6,500,000 Japanese yen.

General Qualifications:
-Education credentials and relevant professional certifications that match the position offered
-Three or more years of experience in a K-12 nationally or internationally accredited school
-Experience working within the International Baccalaureate (IB) PYP and MYP systems is preferred however, we are willing to train the right individual.

-A passion for 21st century inquiry-based education and the candidate's specialization

-An understanding of the IB Standards and Practices
-An ability to contribute to curriculum and program development
-Leadership qualities commensurate with the position
-A highly collaborative approach
-An interest in supporting our school through PYP / MYP authorization including efforts to develop both curriculum and policy
-An ability to navigate the uncertainties of a startup environment (positive, calm, flexible, organized, self-starter, pioneering spirit)
