Berkeley House Language Center's results yielding IELTS program has generated great interest and demand by goal oriented students, in recent years.
We are seeking vibrant, experienced teachers who are quick to assess students need and provide valuable instructions to assist in achieving the students desired band score or even higher!
If you have extensive experience teaching IELTS preparations, please send in your resume now. If you have some experience with IELTS and are willing to learn, we offer a comprehensive IELTS TEACHER TRAINING PROGRAM that will allow you to gain expert knowledge of the test.
Our students range from young language learners in junior, senior high schools, vocational colleges, universities to top level executives working for some of Japan's most influential companies.
Essential Duties:
-Teach classes on weekdays and/or weekends as available.
-Complete essential administrative tasks such as record sheets and student reports.
-Prepare for college and university lessons by creating syllabi, assessment tools, and grading homework.
-Attend special course orientations as requested.
Requirements:
-Be a native-level speaker
-Have more than 3 years’ experience teaching EFL.
-Hold relevant qualifications (CELTA, DELTA, MA TESOL, etc.)
-Have experience teaching IELTS preparation courses
Preference:
-Have experience teaching English in Japan
-Have experience teaching test-prep courses (IELTS, TOEIC, TOEFL, BULATS, etc.)
-Have experience as an English language test examiner (IELTS, TOEFL, BULATS, etc.)
Job Location: Tokyo and Kanto Area
Salary: *3,500 Yen~ + transportation
*For those who have limited experience with IELTS the starting rate is 3,000 yen/hour.
Once you have successfully passed our IELTS teacher training program you will be immediately eligible for the 3,500 yen rate.
*Salary is negotiable based on experience and expertise
