Bilingual Korean teacher or native English teacher (full time and or part time) -We are also seeking teachers that are able to teach Korean and English at native level -International School of English Yokohama Japan- -An upscale English school with locations in Aobadai and Tama Plaza (on the Denentoshi line) is currently accepting applications from professional experienced bilingual korean/ English teacher for teaching posts starting March 2019. Candidates speakers of Korean and English preferred, hold a bachelor’s degree or the equivalent from an accredited university and at least two consecutive years of teaching experience are required.

Strong consideration will be given to candidates with experience teaching adults, children and business courses .We welcome CELTA/TESOL/DELTA certificate holders as well as teachers holding traditional teaching credentials/licenses .


Personal qualities should include a positive attitude, professional demeanor and appearance , flexibility and the ability to work as a member of a closely-knit team. Candidates must have a strong work ethic and take pride in their profession as teachers. Applicants should be outgoing, communicative and energetic. This position requires a great deal of responsibility as well as a high work ethic.

We are currently seeking candidates that have significant experience teaching a full range of adults courses including business as well as children specifically ELPS (Early Learners through Elementary school and high school).

Teaching repertoire and skill set for children should include the ability to teach student centered lessons focusing on independent narrative ,phonics, role-play as well as games and activities that re-enforce TL (target language being taught).Our teaching Methodology is very close to the PLS method.
We are seeking teachers that are enthusiastic with children yet have the sophistication and experience to work with adults and deliver Academic based lessons to returnees (students that have lived abroad and require traditional academic based lessons)

Approximately half of the children enrolled have returned from extended stays abroad and follow a subject-based curriculum (history, social studies, literature, etc.)

The schools provides the teacher with both a curriculum to follow as well as wealth of support materials. Our schools are extremely well resourced and have excellent programs for both children and adults. We also incorporate technology into the classroom and teachers have IPad’s and lap tops at their disposal to use during their lessons



Responsibilities include:

Giving clear, focused and challenging lessons to a wide variety of students. You must be able to teach non-reading beginner lessons, conversation-based lessons, grammar-based lessons and business lessons to students of all ages, levels and ability.

- Establishing a rapport with your students and creating a lesson dynamic that encourages the student to excel.
- Writing detailed progress reports regarding students’ performance .
- Communicating with the other staff members, as well as the School Managers , Head or Lead teachers, regarding students’ progress and abilities.



Benefits and Salary

Teaching contracts are one year with the option to renew annually .Starting Salaries range from 250,000 to 260,000 yen a month, depending on experience and qualifications .We also offer completion bonuses that can cover airfare for applicants that show outstanding work performance .We also provide full visa sponsorship.We can also offer part time work to Korean native teachers.

Additionally, we offer 30 days paid vacation including national holidays, monthly performance bonuses and paid training . We can assist with introducing very affordable comfortable , safe and clean housing .However we do not cover moving costs ,rents or furnishings .We also offer several options for extended health insurance coverage . We are seeking applicants that are interested in moving up the ladder and becoming managing teachers .

We are also seeking Candidates that are bilingual in English and Korean , French, Spanish , Italian, German and Chinese.
