We are Japan's oldest indie-specialized game publisher. The ""PLAYISM"" name is well-known throughout the indie game industry, and we focus on bringing not only games from throughout the world to Japan, but from Japan to the rest world as well.
At PLAYISM, our top mission is to help as many talented game developers as possible to show the world what they can do and to make their debut on the global stage. We search Japan and the globe far and wide for as-of-yet undiscovered talent, and cover everything from discovery & first contact to negotiations, distribution contracts, game localization, PR/sales strategy, and more.

[Work Description]
Working in International Operations, main duties will be handling discovery of and first contact with indie developers/games.
The most crucial skills required for this job are English & Japanese language ability, and general communication skills.
This is an extremely important position which requires not only a love of video games, but the ability to communicate and build and maintain relationships with game developers.
Some specific duties:
・Seeking out and discovering the best indie games from around the world, and communicating/negotiating with international game developers in English and Japanese in order to acquire new business partners and titles;
・Conducting meetings and general contact with developers in English/Japanese both in person and via email/online, and handling general day-to-day communications and tasks related to publishing and development, both internally and externally;
・Playing localized games in order to find discrepancies or issues in translated text/general expression, and when necessary, communicating said issues to localizers/developers for amendment;
etc.
