Conversational English Teacher (expired)

Hello! Would you like to teach English in Japan near beautiful, iconic Mt. Fuji? Joyful English School, a division of Bunri Gakuin Preparatory School (a member of the Gakken Group), is located in Yamanashi and Shizuoka Prefectures. We are currently looking for a professional, enthusiastic, outgoing and responsible full-time native speaker to join the staff of our conversational English program, teaching school-aged children.

Our new teacher will be based in Yamanashi Prefecture, with some travel to branches in the area for teaching. This teacher will be responsible for lesson plan preparation within the Joyful English School curriculum guidelines, procuring or making teaching materials, planning of and preparation for events, and coordinating classes and activities with Japanese staff and other foreign teachers.

Working hours at Joyful English School are generally 1-9 p.m., Monday through Friday.
We would like our new teacher to be available to begin working with us as soon as is feasible in February.

Preference will be given to applicants already located in Japan, but applicants from outside Japan will certainly be considered.

Bunri Gakuin is a chain of 31 preparatory schools located in Yamanashi and Shizuoka Prefectures. The rapidly-growing Joyful English School program is housed at 8 of the Bunri Gakuin branch schools in Yamanashi and Shizuoka Prefectures, with possible expansion to new branches in the near future.
