Description

ALTIA CENTRAL is now looking for a few final people to fill a contract in Ogaki City, Gifu Prefecture. Ogaki is very centrally located, just 90 minutes from Kyoto, 15 minutes from Gifu City, and only 35 minutes to Nagoya City. If you would like to work in a public school with one of the most reputable and successful companies in the ALT industry, then please apply now for these are other openings.

These mid-June starting positions will be full-salary, full-benefit placements offering long term stability as well. They are expected to be in both junior high and elementary school and some, but not all, placements will require driving and we will of course supply company vehicles for the new ALTs as necessary.

ALTIA CENTRAL will be conducting weekday interviews on an ongoing basis at our offices in Nagoya and Osaka, as well as making several weekend recruiting trips to Shizuoka, Tokyo, Okayama and Hiroshima as necessary to meet local applicants. We are also interviewing overseas in about a dozen cities in the US, UK and Australia for these June-starting openings as well as for September, so we are looking for as many great applicants as possible.

Our ideal applicant is a native English speaker with a bachelor's degree (or higher) who is flexible, culturally sensitive, and motivated to go the extra mile to provide a positive experience for students.

We would also prefer applicants who have previously spent some time studying or working in Japan, and as many ALT positions do require driving, we prefer people who can or would be able to drive in Japan.

ALTs work in public schools assisting Japanese teachers, helping to provide enjoyable and energetic lessons, and interacting with the students both inside and outside the classroom. Working as an ALT is a great opportunity to improve your Japanese language ability through cooperation with Japanese staff, to experience and appreciate cultural differences, and most importantly, to be positively involved with the development and well-being of young children.

ALTIA CENTRAL enjoys an excellent reputation, positive relationships with Boards of Education, and is respected by the English teaching community in Japan. We operate mostly in the Chubu area, especially Aichi, Gifu, Mie, and Shizuoka prefectures, areas further west such as Shiga, Okayama, and Hiroshima, along with a number of contracts in the Kansai area as well.

Our highly experienced native-English speaking supervisors offer a stable, reliable and extremely professional support system. We also provide excellent teacher training, a wide array of top-quality educational resources and a comprehensive benefits package including generously paid vacation periods.

If you are interested in applying and have the work ethic and enthusiasm to represent our values while making a real difference in Japan's public schools, please visit our Recruiting website for further details about ALTIA CENTRAL. Please note that successful applicants will need to be available for a full 4-day Orientation/Training session before starting in school as early as June 17, 2019.
