Borderlink, Inc. is now hiring for Assistant Language Teacher (ALT) positions starting from April 2019. Ideal candidates would be energetic, friendly, and able to commit to a minimum of 1 year.
About ALT work:
ALTs work in public elementary and junior high schools alongside native Japanese teachers. This presents a different kind of experience from teaching in a conversation school (eikaiwa), and part of our role as ALTs is to join in on all aspects of school life.
Between classes we can freely converse with our students and other school staff. ALTs can eat lunch with their classes and play with the students during breaks. After-school opportunities such as clubs or speech contest practice allow you to grow closer to your schools. Additionally, working regular school hours leaves evenings and weekends free, plus national holidays and winter/summer holiday periods.
About Borderlink:
Since 2000, Borderlink, Inc. has been one of the top recruiters of ALTs across Japan. We're constantly striving to revolutionize English education in Japan, as well as improve ourselves as teachers. Borderlink ALTs are provided with year-round training and access to an ever-expanding resource of teaching materials.
Our ALTs also enjoy a large support network designed to help navigate the sometimes complex world of living and working in another country. Whether you are new to teaching in public schools or a multi-year veteran, we'll do our best to assist you and your growth as a teacher.
Thank you for your interest in Borderlink! The window of opportunity for overseas applicants will soon be closing, so please apply today!
*Already living in Japan, and holding a valid work visa? We will be holding domestic candidate orientation sessions in Tokyo (Takadanobaba) and Saitama (Omiya) on December 1st, 8th and 15th. Space is limited, so please apply now directly through this advertisement.
**Please note that as we receive a high number of applicants, only those who pass the initial screening will be contacted for an interview.
