Starting Date: April 1, 2019 with training in March 2019 (earlier starting date may be possible)
Starting Salary: 230,000 yen/month (no salary ceiling)
Visa sponsorship: provided

Benefits: seven weeks scheduled vacation per year, 5 additional days of paid leave, co-paid medical insurance(Shakai Hoken Kenkohoken), pension (Kosei Nenkin), and workers compensation insurance (Koyo Hoken); housing assistance 100,000yen (one-time only), a contract completion bonus, and assistance finding housing (the company will serve as the guarantor for the housing contract).

Orientation/Training: 100 hours of paid orientation, observation, shadowing other instructors, and observed teaching will take place prior to teaching alone.

Working environment/Programs: At BES we provide small group classes (up to 4 adults or 6 kids), and private lessons. Instructors typically average 6 classes of 30~45 minutes per day. Classes are arranged into four 11-week quarters per year and instructors have the same classes/students for an entire quarter before switching classes. During the quarter instructors are busy and between quarters they have vacation time to travel, get refreshed etc. All the materials and lesson plans for classes are provided so that instructor's prep time can be focused on how to make lessons most effective rather than spending time on "what to teach". Our American Pre-school and American Homeroom Programs emphasize contextual language acquisition and learning to read while decoding words using phonics. Classes are separated by age and level. Our Junior High/ Senior High and Adult Programs concentrate on strategies for communication and conversational grammar with the motto of "Speak first, think later". All classes at BES are taught entirely in English. It is a great place to work as you can really see our students' improvement and it feels great to be making a difference in their lives.
