Description

At Global Village International Preschool we don’t just teach English – we provide an early childhood education in English.

We believe that educational and social development are complementary and equal in importance. Our aim is to provide an early years foundation for a lifetime of learning; to nurture confidence, a joy of exploration, and a willingness to 'have a go'. We recognise that effective learning and development occurs when teachers can bring their own ideas into a class and when lessons are based on the unique needs and interests of the children.

Our first school was founded in northern Osaka, in 2001, and we have three well-established schools in the area. We offer an international early childhood education to children (aged between 2 and 6 years of age) and continue to support our graduates with after school programme. We are an officially recognised Cambridge English Test preparation centre, specialising in young learners.

We are looking for people who want to grow as a part our school community. As such, we provide ongoing training and support, a competitive salary, along with the potential for advancement and other benefits, in order to nurture this.

There are positions available, starting from September 2019, but are also pleased to speak with teachers interested in joining our school at a later date (including positions for the new school year, starting March/April 2020). Eligible candidates seeking immediate work may be offered a substitute position, for the remainder of the current school year, until a classroom teacher position becomes available.

Requirements and desirable qualities for applicants:
★ Native English speaker (required)
★ Previous teaching experience is required (preferably with young learners).
★ Teaching degree or certificate for Early Years or Primary/Elementary education (preferred)
★ Can plan, develop and implement curriculum for preschool aged children.
★ Flexible, creative and open-minded personality.
★ An ability to work well, both individually and as part of a large team.
★ Good organisational skills and a professional demeanor.
★ Long-term commitment.

We offer:
★ Competitive salary
★ Paid vacation and national holidays (including 1 week in May and 3 weeks winter break)
★ Japanese health insurance and pension (optional)
★ Yearly bonus
★ Transportation allowance
★ Visa sponsorship
★ Ongoing training and support
★ Full-time contracts (Monday–Friday)

Candidates that meet our requirements will be invited for an interview.
Please visit our website to learn more about us. We look forward to hearing from you.
