English/Math Teacher (expired)

We are currently seeking English and/or Math teachers to join our English schools located in Setagaya and Minato Tokyo. Whether on a full-time or part-time basis, we are dedicated to ensuring our students develop their English skills and achieve outstanding results. The ideal candidate would be a qualified, university-educated, and experienced native English speaker who possesses a genuine passion for education.

Job Description:

1. Conduct engaging and interactive English and Math lessons for elementary and junior high school students, either in private or group settings, either online or on-site.
2. Cover classes and serve as the main point of contact for educational matters in Japan and internationally.
3. If employed full-time, perform administrative duties such as syllabus design and curriculum development at our office (GLICC).

Preferred Skills:

-Previous experience in teaching English.
-Native English Speaker.
-Background in Mathematics (elementary and junior high school level).
-Conversational proficiency in Japanese.

Compensation:

-Part-time teaching: Hourly rates range from 2,500 yen to 6,000 yen, depending on experience and class size.
-Part-time administrative duties: Hourly rates range from 1,500 yen to 2,500 yen.
-Commuting expenses will be reimbursed.

A two-month probationary period will be in effect initially. Employees may request time off during the summer and winter seasons.
