---Position Purpose Statement---This position is responsible for the management of the company wide Payroll, Compensation and Benefits program and system. Managing a team of 4 professionals, this position ensures all Japan based company staff are compensated accordingly and paid on time in a smooth and efficient manner. This role is accountable for keeping up to date with the latest trends in payroll management and C&B initiatives.

It is envisaged the Manager in this role would complete one to two years of service then dependent on performance and skills would move into another HR related role within the organization as part of their development and growth strategy. XXX company is part of a global organization, English ability at an advance level is required.
Of most importance to this role is Leadership capability and a willingness to develop oneself further in the HR area.

Develop pay ranges based on Job Grade and insure the proper relationship between the jobs and the pay ranges. Develop salary recommendation for new hires. Participate in external compensation survey for benchmarking.

Coordinate compensation processes like merit increase, promotional increase, annual incentive bonus, stock plan etc..

Review monthly all salary and its relevant data including expats in addition to annual incentive bonus for proper accounting. Also review monthly and annual tax reporting and payments.

Review and insure that all applications of social and labor insurances with the Government are properly filed, and updated as required according to changes/revisions made by them.

Develop / maintain / improve employee retirement benefit plans (DB and DC).
Insure the proper maintenance of HRIS. Discuss necessary improvements with IT Division.

Summarize all salary and its relevant data for budgeting and lead annual budgeting process.

Manage, Lead and Develop the Compensation and HRIS team.
