A Japanese and English Bi-lingual (or near Bi-lingual fluency) Junior Risk Analyst is sought at a well respected and established bank in the City.

The role is to assist the risk management team meet with requirements of risk reporting and limits framework set out internal/ external (UK regulatory authorities such as FCA, PRA, BoE).

Written and verbal fluency in both English and Japanese is highly desirable as the communication and report writing in both languages are required as part of the duties.

Above average skill in Microsoft Excel is required.

[ Main Responsibilities ]

Monitor daily risk limit and risk management control for internal and external such as FCA/ PRA/ BoE.
Assist in producing reports for Headquarters including daily market and credit risk reports by collating data using spreadsheets and database.
Manage the approval process and policy setting.
Liaise with Front office and UK regulatory bodies (in English) as well as Japanese main office (in Japanese) to ensure any queries and issues are dealt with.

Language: English and Japanese fluency both written and verbal, ideally both mother-tongue level (Essential)
PC skills:
Advanced Microsoft Excel (Essential)
Working experience in Pivot table (Desirable)
Good working knowledge of Microsoft Access (Desirable)
Comfortable in Japanese corporate environment.
Adaptable and quick to learn new tasks/ skills.
Knowledge of financial markets / products or Accounting (Treasury).
Numerical with accuracy and attention to detail.
Degree level education or equivalent.
Good communication skills (verbal and written)
Good interpersonal skills and a team player.
