OVERVIEW:
The Regional Manager is a key role providing operational oversight to regional schools. The Regional Manager is the key liaison between the British Schools Foundation board of directors and the school management.
OBJECTIVE:
To ensure the schools receive the appropriate support in the areas of administration and development and operate in accordance with the BSF objectives, standards and policies. To spearhead China region development.
REPORTING TO:
Managing Director of the British Schools Foundation
RESPONSIBILITIES:
REGIONAL MANAGEMENT:
Ensure group policies and practices are being implemented.
Develop effective ways of working and share best practices across schools
Support long-term organisational planning and ensure an efficient admin team structure
Oversee the school’s local development projects (Lead or support depending on stage of development and resources of each school).
Monitor that the school meets its budget objectives and approve, within limits, any deviation from budget
Assist the Heads of Administration in preparing, controlling and executing the annual budgets
CHINA DEVELOPMENT
Work with the BSF Development Director to create and implement the China Development Plan
Conduct market research, identify and incubate new project opportunities
Establish and foster relationships with key stakeholders including:
- Leaders in relevant government departments
- Potential collaborators (such as schools and developers)
- Project agents
- Members of the BSF China Advisory Board
Spearhead the licensing of new entities and schools in a timely manner. Lead the process from legal research through to final approval stages.
Take responsibility for Chinese marketing including student recruitment and related initiatives
