Description

Akasaka International Law, Patent and Accounting Office, an international law firm based in Tokyo, is currently seeking a Legal Assistant from a common law jurisdiction to join our dedicated and experienced team of professionals. Responsibilities include drafting and reviewing English correspondences and legal documents such as contracts, legal research with regards to a variety of common law jurisdictions and drafting short articles for our website and other publications, amongst other things.

Along with meeting the minimum requirements, the ideal candidate should be someone willing to learn, dedicated, detail orientated and, in particular, eager to be a team player to achieve successful results as a team for our clients.

This is a part time position in the afternoon from Monday to Friday.

Minimum Requirements:

 A law degree from a common law jurisdiction, or at least 2 years experience working at a law office in a common law jurisdiction as a paralegal or legal assistant.
 Native English Speaker.
 Excellent writing and research skills.
 Competency with using computers.

Preferred:

 Japanese and French language abilities.
 Law License.
 Experience working in a law office.
