Description

We are currently looking for candidates to become prospective managers for RCS Corporation.

Have you been teaching in Japan for the past few years and are trying to decide what to do next with your career? Here are RCS, we are looking for driven individuals who are looking to take the next step. While you will be contributing to a company that has the longest running history of providing ALTs to schools in Japan, you will also be able to grow as not only an educator but also as an individual.

To become a manager, we first ask our candidates to do at least two years of teaching as an ALT or CIR with RCS in south east area of Saitama. For such a position, those who are currently residing or have experiences as an ALT in the cities around the area (such as Misato, Yoshikawa, Soka etc.) may have a smoother transition to start the position. After completion and outstanding reviews, successful candidates will then become sub-managers. For those who show exceptional potential will be selected to become managers.

Your role as CIRs will include, but not limited to;
*spending one day a week placed at the city hall and 4 days teaching at a school
*assist with development of curriculum for the city you are placed in
*leading the meetings held every month

As a CIR, we seek those who have had 3 or more years of teaching experience in both elementary and junior high school with a thorough understanding of the English curriculum in Japan or equivalent knowledge and experience. You will be assisting the board of education in developing the curriculum for the city. You will also from time to time, help translate lesson plans from Japanese to English for the ALTs so some command of the Japanese language would be desired. As a CIR, you will be a consultant to the board of education and lead the meetings every month so we are also looking for those who are natural born leaders. If you hold these qualities and you are ready for the next step in your career, then this is the job for you. In your inquiry, please state which position you wish to apply for.

As an ALT your duties will include, but not limited to;
*5 days a week at either an elementary school, junior high school, or a mix of the two levels
*prepare lesson plans, and facilitate team teaching in each of your lessons
*prepare and conduct lessons based off of the current grammar (JHS)
*create a fun and exciting lesson that will have students engaged in your lesson (ES)
*engage with your students in and outside of the classroom environment, as you are a cultural ambassador to each of your schools.

As an ALT, you will pair up and conduct your lessons side by side with your HRT (homeroom teacher) or your JTE (Japanese teacher of English). Communication with your teachers become vital in conducting a smooth lesson, so some command of the Japanese language would be desired, especially in the elementary school level. As the English subject will become a formal curriculum in the near future, our ALTs will play a crucial role in providing assistance to for Japanese HRTs to better conduct lessons on their own. Therefore, we are looking for teachers who are able to become consultants for their schools and advise them on English lessons.

Please note that joining us through this advertisement does not automatically guarantee or promise that you will become our future manager.

As you join us for the first two years as an ALT/CIR, we will be expecting you to show your capability to become a manager for RCS. With excellent reviews and evaluations from both the company and your schools, it shows us that not only are you an outstanding educator within RCS but you will also be able to take lead to train and consult other ALTs.

Those with a mid-level to high-level command of the Japanese language would also be looked upon favorably, as well those with teaching qualifications.

We offer:

* visa sponsorship and renewal services
* assistance in finding accommodation
* day-time working hours
* initial and follow-up training
* continued support from experienced foreign HR staff
* teaching support from our training specialists
* opportunity for promotion

On salary:
The salary written above will be your starting salary as you start your position with RCS. As you develop your skills as an educator and have successful reviews from your schools and the company, there will also be a chance of your salary getting a raise each term. Over time, if you keep getting excellent reviews, there is a chance where your salary will also increase above the aforementioned maximum amount.

Although we do consider all applications carefully, only successful candidates will be contacted.
