Native English - Nursery school teacher (SAPPORO CITY KITA WARD, HOKKAIDO)（期限切れ）

We are looking for a confident Native English teacher for young Japanese children ages 0 to 5, daily Monday – Friday in Sapporo City Kita Ward, Hokkaido.

The position will start ASAP with a commitment through March 2019 with the possibility of renewal based on mutual agreement.

This job provides you with a 30-hour work week (gross salary 290,000 / month + various benefits) as well as a terrific opportunity to teach Japanese children and interact with staff at a private nursery school where you will have direct input into the classroom curriculum.
The candidates must have extensive experience working with children aged 0-5 year of age at preschool or kindergarten, as well as ESL experience. Candidates ideally should have a university degree, preferably in Education or Early Childhood, love children, have musical skills and possess good interpersonal/team work skills. Candidates MUST currently be residing in Japan and MUST HAVE A SUITABLE VISA.

Work duties to be undertaken As a native-English-speaking instructor, EMPLOYEE shall be engaged in English education and maintaining/improving the environment for English education. EMPLOYEE must perform all duties assigned by EMPLOYER to a high standard.
Including following details

(1) participate in daily nursing duties using only “Native” English to children for 0-5 years old,

(2) manage optional lessons generally for 3 to 5 years olds 44 times a year,

(3) carry out the specified evaluation test for 2 years old students in February,

(4) be responsible for all the duties related to English education including preparation, curriculum, grouping the members and carry out your responsibilities,

(5) Children often limit participating with English once they learn a native teacher can handle Japanese and that can prevent children’s listening skills from growing. Due to this reason, please prohibit using Japanese in front of the children including Japanese staff members.

Work days and hours of work
(1) Workdays shall be five (5) days per week.

(2) Hours of work shall be from 9:30 to 17:30 pm at 30 hrs per week.
