Cosmopolitan Village is not an English conversation school, but a company that offers a "reverse homestay" program, in which teachers visit the homes of their students and spend a pleasant time together.

Even if you are in Japan, there are not many opportunities to visit a typical Japanese family home. Working for Cosmopolitan Village offers many opportunities to experience real Japanese culture; not just things see or hear somewhere else, but things you can feel in a Japanese home.

Specific job duties include:

★English lessons at the student’s home: Of course, you don't have to be fluent in Japanese. The concept of Cosmopolitan Village is to provide students with a fully-English speaking environment. Our English lessons are not taught by just using a textbook. Students and teachers often go to the park together, cook together, go cherry blossom viewing in Spring, and do many other fun activities that create a natural learning environment! Cosmopolitan Village’s teaching style is to have the whole family learn English while still having a fun time together.

★Daily flow: You will be in charge of about 1-3 families per day on average during business hours (10:00 - 21:00, Sundays 10:00 - 17:00). The time when you do not have lessons is basically free. There is no need to come to our office in between lessons.

★ Available areas: Mainly Nagoya City, Fukuoka City is also available (limited).

An example of compensation and workload:

※This is a consignment contract of 3,200 yen / 1 hour, 4,300 yen / 1.5 hour, 5,500 yen / 2 hour lessons.

★Minimum guaranteed remuneration (Monthly) = 40,000 yen to 100,000 yen (amount of commissioned work for weekends (Sat & Sun) / 3 to 5 weekday afternoons / weekday afternoons + weekends)
The amount of commission and the minimum guaranteed amount vary depending on the day of the week of the lesson.

★Average remuneration for commissioned work (Ex: 4 weekday afternoons + Saturday): 88,000 yen to 128,000 yen/month

→Even if the minimum guaranteed amount of work is not commissioned, the guaranteed commission amount will always be paid. If the amount of commissioned lessons exceeds the minimum guaranteed remuneration, the amount for the commissioned lessons will be paid. (Payment may even exceed the amount stated in the above example.)

★Negotiation is available for work days and times of when you will be in charge of lessons. (Working 5 days a week is not required.)
