Description

Full-Time English Teacher Position
Aoba-Japan Bilingual Preschool, Waseda Campus is looking for a qualified teacher who is enthusiastic about teaching in a dynamic environment. To the right candidate we can offer a chance to further develop his/her skills and grow as a teacher.

Prospective candidates:
-have teaching qualifications in Early Childhood Education or Early Elementary, or English teaching certificate.
-be a native English speaker
-an interest in Japanese culture and cross-cultural communication skills are a must
-excellent communication skills and are eager to learn new things
-a university degree (degree in education/early childhood preferred)
-2 or more years teaching experience with Preschool age children)

-experience of Inquiry-Based or Child-Centered Education
-experience of International Baccalaureate Education preferred
-experience of working in bilingual education programs preferred
-basic level of Japanese speaking preferred
-are patient, active, friendly and flexible
-attention to detail
-are team players and proactively support others

Main duties and responsibility:
1. Lesson planning and curriculum development
2. Managing and supervising other staff members
3. Teaching lesson effectively and offering attractive lessons for children
4. Student evaluation
5. Collaboration with peers and management
6. Attend meetings, events, workshops, and other activities, when required
Work hours
-5 days from Monday to Friday
-9 hours (8 hours including lunch with children plus 1 hour break time) between 8:00am and 6:00pm
