Full-time Kindergarten English Teacher: August 2021（到期)

JOYTALK is now accepting applications for energetic and enthusiastic native English speakers to work as kindergarten English teachers in Yokohama City, Kanagawa, starting from starting in August 2021, with the right teacher for the position with training before work assignment begins, for those already in Japan*¹. This position is only 5 hours a day!

● REQUIREMENTS:
Applicants must:
・ be native speakers of English
・ have at least a bachelor's degree from a university
・ be willing to commit to at least the end of the school year at the end of March 2022
・ enjoy working with children
・ be able to follow a specific curriculum for teaching English
・ be able to supervise children outside of class when required
・ be a team player
・ be outgoing with students and teachers taking initiative even in situations where English is not the main language

Applicants would also be highly regarded if they have or hold:
・ childcare qualifications or certifications
・ early childhood education qualifications
・ conversational Japanese language skills
・ have previous kindergarten experience or teaching experience with children in their home country

● COVID-19 & QUARANTINE MEASURES
・ Currently, entry into Japan requires a quarantine period of 15 nights / 16 days, to cover 14 full calendar days, not counting any check-in or check-out part day.
・ Joytalk has systems in place to save on the cost of hotel quarantine and we will also arrange and pay for private transportation from the airport for those arriving from overseas, as the use of public transportation for those new arrivals is prohibited.
・ We have systems in place to help you with all quarantine requirements and will also provide a free and regular shopping service during that time.

● CONDITIONS & BENEFITS:
・ Work at assigned kindergarten from Monday to Friday with hours usually from 9:00am to 2:00pm
・ The kindergarten may have events from time to time that fall on a weekend, in which case a day off in lieu will be scheduled.
・ The salary will depend on the position, qualifications, teaching experience and Japanese language skills and as such, will range between 230,000 and 250,000 yen per month, which equates to 2,760,000 yen to 3,000,000 yen per full contracted year (12 months).
・ Full monthly attendance will be rewarded with a bonus that is paid at the completion of the full contract.
・ We offer paid leave from the start of employment, not making our employees wait for 6 months.
・ We have the flexibility to allow paid leave to be used for sick days and on short notice.
・ We can handle all visa related issues on your behalf at the immigration office so there is no need for you to take time off to be there.
・ We enroll our employees in the company's social insurance system, including subsidized health insurance and pension, where required. Otherwise, we will be there to help you register at the city hall and enroll in the National Health Insurance and National Pension systems and for any other help you need.

● SUPPORT
Joytalk has been recruiting foreign staff for more than 38 years. We pride ourselves on providing quality and personal assistance to our foreign language staff. We also provide on-going teacher training with workshops held a number of times throughout the year, including prior to the start of the assignment and reimbursement for work transportation costs.
