Teacher & Lesson Planner for After School Program（到期)

We are looking for an experienced, energetic native English teacher in the Kansai area who wants more creative input into lesson planning.

This position is for our elementary school after-school care facility Crescent School, located at the East gate of Nishinomiya Kitaguchi Station.

Teaching focuses on 2 to 2.5 intensive hours from around 4:00 or 4:30 to 6:30 pm.
Plan and teach a wide range of activities that involve all skills, with extra focus on speaking practice and forming sentences.

Textbooks are used, and external lesson planning support is provided from our head office, but existing plans do not cover all the required lesson hours at this particular school - an affiliated care center of Kwansei Gakuin. Therefore, the right candidate must be confident and experienced at creating effective lesson plans and material in a time-efficient manner.

Shifts are from 1:00 to 9:00 pm, with a 45 minute break. Teach 2 to 2.5 lesson hours, and an additional 1.5 to 2 hours of online tutoring each day to complete the full-time role. (Total teaching time generally 4.5 hours/day at most. Usually around 4 hours)

Since lesson material for on-site lessons is not entirely prepared and ready to teach, it is critically important to be self-structured, efficient in preparation, and able to create conversation-centered lesson plans for young children without being told what to do. Dedicated computer and printer are provided. During non-lesson hours, teachers may also be asked to interact with students and play board games with them, etc., but generally students do not arrive at the facility until after 3:00 pm.

Possibility for yearly pay increase with good performance.
