Full-time Tokyo YMCA International Kindergarten Teacher (starting April) （到期)

Tokyo YMCA International Kids Garden seeks a full-time, highly qualified and organized kindergarten teacher. Our kindergarten provides early childhood education in English.

■About Tokyo YMCA

Tokyo YMCA was established in 1880. Tokyo YMCA develops a lot of programs such as, business colleges, language education, wellness programs, outdoor programs, childcare programs, international programs etc, with a balance of “Spirit”, “Mind” and “Body” and aims to raise young people through these programs.

■About Tokyo YMCA International Kids Garden

Tokyo YMCA International Kids Garden is a kindergarten under the Public Interest Incorporated Foundation Tokyo YMCA.
Our kindergarten was established in 2002. We are a kindergarten using English in our daily educational programs.
Our school philosophy is “Raising children to be Peace Makers” and we raise children within a Christian philosophy. We have chapel time a few times a month.
Kids Garden aims to raise life-long learners rather than focusing only a study.
Children learn natural English through daily school life and play with friends and teachers.

<Student Body>
Age: 3, 4, 5 years old; Maximum capacity is 24 children per class
<Staffing>
1 Head Teacher / 6 class teachers / 1 teachers’ aide

■About Pre-School
We also have a Pre-School class. It is for ages 1 and half through 2 years old children.

■Duties of Homeroom Teacher
Basic daily duties include teaching and taking care of kindergarten children, weekly lesson planning, committee work for annual events, taking the school bus on a shift basis.

■Working Condition
- Full-time worker
- Working hours and days of the week are 8:00-16:00 or 9:15-17:15, Monday to Friday including a few Saturdays or Sundays for events or model lessons for promotion.
- Term of the contract is from April 1st, 2021 to March 31st, 2022.
- Basic total class weeks/year are 38 weeks. During seasonal breaks, there are a few days job for seasonal programs.

Salary:
250,000-300,000 yen / month, negotiable. *Pay rate depends on experience and education.
- Transportation allowance /contract completion bonus are included.
- Employment Insurance, Health Insurance, Long Term Care Insurance, Pension Insurance, Workmen’s Accident Compensation Insurance will be applied.

■Location
- Located in east Tokyo on the Tozai Subway line. School is a 5-minute walk from Toyocho station.

■Applicants must fulfill the following criteria
- Certification preferred:　Valid Early Childhood education degree and license
- University diploma in Early Childhood education are preferred
- Working experience in kindergarten, pre-school or nursery school are preferred.
- Native English ability
- Japanese resident and working visa
