【About us】

Global Athlete Project（GAP) was established in 2011 by Eiji Kawashima, a Japanese national team goalkeeper, now playing professionally in the French league.

GAP started “Dance x English” school in 2016 as one of the language support programs to help children learn English through Cheerleading and cheer dance. A total of 16 schools have been opened in Tokyo, Chiba, Saitama and Kanagawa areas. Moreover, GAP developed and published an English textbook and a mobile phone app, both now on sale, and is going to carry on a variety of more ‘Sports x Language Learning’ projects.

【GAP’s Mission】

■ To help people acquire communication skills to play an active part in the global community.
■ To help support Japanese athletes aiming to play on a global stage acquire language skills.
■ To provide an environment where children can learn languages and have fun through various sports activities and foster global-minded citizens.
■To help support a second career for retired professional athletes who have played and participated in a global environment with fluent language skills.

【Positions Available】

■ English cheerleading and cheer dance instructor for kids aged 3 to 12 years old.

【Requirements】

■ Fluent in English
■ Enjoys interacting with kids
■ Fun, energetic, outgoing, healthy, creative and flexible.
■ Enjoys sport, especially cheerleading/cheer dance.(previous experiencing instructing cheerleading/cheer dance for kids is advantageous but not required)
■ Interested in child education. (Previous experience teaching children in Japan is advantageous but not required)
■ Has a valid visa (student and working holiday are OK)

【We need you!】

We are looking for instructors from various nationalities to help out at our ‘Cheerleading/Cheer dance x English’ schools. No experience in dance is required, as long as you enjoy taking care and communicating with children.

The purpose of our schools is to provide a fun English learning environment rather than improving dance technique or skills. We want our students to learn English in an enjoyable way through cheerleading and cheer dance.
We hope to help grow more global-minded citizens.
