Part-Time Teikyo Eikaiwa Teacher / University Lecturer/ Lounge Facilitator

Our growing program at Teikyo Hachioji Campus is looking for part time teachers and facilitators to join out program as a university lecturer, an eikaiwa teacher, a language facilitator or a combination of all three. If you have the will and drive to contribute to a university students academic career, the desire to help them learn to express themselves more clearly or just a fun outgoing personality and the willingness to chat with students in a relaxed environment consider joining one or all facets of our program.

We are looking for a part-time teacher with a minimum of 2 years of English teaching experience in a school/Eikaiwa/University environment to join our English teaching programs on the Teikyo University Hachioji campus. The schedule follows the university Eikaiwa schedule which is made of two 11-week semesters (May-Jul & Oct-Dec) or two 15-week semester(April-July & Sept-Jan).

POSITION:
We are now taking applications from teachers seeking part-time employment to teach English (ESL) programs at the Teikyo CAMPUS EIKAIWA, Teikyo University and/or facilitators for the university language lounge 1 to 4 days a week. In addition, we are currently seeking teachers for our Minamino branch as well as Teikyo elementary school (elementary school is located on university property).
PAY: ¥3400/hour teaching time or ¥2000/hour in the lounge

STARTING DATE:
April 2018

REQUIREMENTS:
Minimum 2 years’ experience of teaching groups of students.
Able to provide a balance between fun and instructional English lessons.
Strong teaching skills and code of ethics.
Strong organizational skills.
Professional attitude.
Strong work ethic.

SCHEDULE:
The contract is a part-time contract which covers two 11-week semesters of the Eikaiwa course and/or the regular University year.

SCHOOL:
The Teikyo on-campus Eikaiwa is a conversation course that is offered to Teikyo students, teachers, and staff at Teikyo University – Hachioji Campus.
The university lessons are 90 minute lessons for either the English major requirements, International Economics major requirements or a general admission western culture course with a focus on natural communication in English at Teikyo University – Hachioji Campus.
The lounge is a relaxed comfortable place where students come to hang out and just chat or occasionally join in activities like cooking or have country themed parties or lectures.
