● Full-time position starts from April, 2018. 40 hours per week
● 10 day paid training period to start from mid-March, dates are negotiable
● Maximum 24 teaching hours per week
● Monday to Friday schedule, with occasional weekend days for special school events
● ¥250,000 to ¥300,000 per month based on qualifications and experience, contract completion bonus after one year
● Teachers at FEN are enrolled into the Japanese pension and health insurance programs
● 1 year initial contract, with possible renewal each year based on mutual agreement
● Long paid vacation times during spring, summer and winter holidays
● Main office is located approximately 30 meters from Asakadai Station (朝霞台), on the Tobu Tojo Line (東武東上), about 20 minutes to Ikebukuro (池袋)
● Schools in which the teacher will be placed are located in either Kita or Itabashi ward in Tokyo
● Transportation costs are reimbursed
● Some housing assistance available, in the Asaka/Niiza area
● Primarily responsible for teaching junior and senior high school students
● 3 intensive training sessions per year, monthly meetings intended to maximize team-work and self-development
● Experience in teaching Eiken, TEAP, GTEC, and use of e-learning programs is helpful
● School asks that teachers be involved in leading English school clubs and extended-vacation (summer/winter) study programs
● Must be positive, friendly, outgoing, flexible, and must interact well with students, staff and co-workers alike
● Placement in an all-girls school may be required, so female teachers are preferred, but all qualified applicants are encouraged to apply
