The programme:

At AIC Kids we teach English to children in an all-English setting. This immersion helps set us apart from other English conversation classes. Our students take the Eiken test in order to mark their progress, so our curriculum is partially geared toward helping them achieve their desired level, but it is by no means the be-all-end-all of our classes!

The details:

We are looking for an experienced, reliable and motivated teacher for our classroom in Tama Center, Tokyo.

Working hours : 12:30pm - 9:00pm (Tue - Fri), 9:00am - 7:00pm Sat (60 minute break every day)

Working days: 5 days a week, Tuesday - Saturday, with occasional Sundays for special events

Contract start: October

Contract term: One year, renewable

Age of students: 3 to 18 years old, separated according to level and age (Jr high/high students and elementary students are in separate classes)

Class size: maximum of 6 - 8 kids (depending on class type/level)

Salary: 280,000yen per month
Transportation costs covered: amount TBC (can confirm at the interview stage)

All AIC Kids/Teens teachers are covered by social insurance, which includes health, pension and employment insurances.

Details of training will be covered in the interview process. Training usually takes place at our main school in Hiroshima, but depending on the situation surrounding COVID-19, training may be partially or completely online. Assuming training will take place as normal, all transportation and accommodation costs for training will be covered by the company.

Japanese ability (at least daily conversation level) is strongly preferred.
