D2C X Inc. is a rising leader in Japan’s inbound tourism business. On top of operating tsunagu Japan, a website that delivers information on Japanese tourism and culture to the rest of the world, D2C X Inc. offers a wide variety of solutions to Japanese companies who are looking to expand into the international market.

We are currently searching for someone to fill in a spot that recently opened in our English editorial team. The ideal candidate will be joining a multicultural workforce made up of members from Germany, Taiwan, Italy, Thailand, Vietnam, South Korea, etc. If you have a strong interest in travel and would like to work a job that gets your creative juices flowing, this could be the opportunity for you! Visa sponsorship is available for the right candidate, but we will put priority on someone who's already living in Japan.

Main Tasks:
・Creating original articles (e.g. going on photoshoots, writing articles from scratch, creating ad copy, taking professional-looking photos/videos)
・Japanese to English translation and translation checking
・Proofreading and editing English texts

Sub-Tasks:
・Giving input on overseas trends and markets
・Coming up with new, interesting ideas for our website and clients

Necessary Qualifications:
・Native level English (you don't have to be from an English-speaking country to apply)
・Business level Japanese (at least JLPT N2, but you don't need to have taken the test to apply)
・Possess excellent writing skills in English
・Has basic knowledge or interest in digital marketing and/or SEO writing techniques
・Has a strong interest in travel, especially within Japan
・Able to work in a fast-paced environment with limited time constraints
・Must be PC literate

Desirable Traits:
・Has at least 1 year of experience in a similar role
・Familiar with photo and/or video editing software
・Familiar with Google Analytics and other website analysis tools
・Has interest and/or professional experience in photography
・Has experience in running their own blog/YouTube channel/Instagram/Twitter/etc. (to the point where they have amassed a bit of a following)

Application Process:
1) We will contact suitable candidates within 1 week of their application
2) We will conduct a trial translation test to check your Japanese and English abilities (1 hour, done online)
3) We will arrange an interview, either through Skype or face-to-face (30-40 minutes)
4) We will deliver the final result within 2 weeks of the trial test
