描述

ALTIA CENTRAL is now accepting applications for a potential NEW contract with the Central Japan International Medical Center in Gifu Prefecture for a dedicated English Teacher starting April 2023 or possibly sooner. In this position you will be working directly with medical doctors, nurses, and staff. You will be responsible for developing relevant curriculum and materials, as well as assisting in translation and other tasks, so applicants must be flexible and able to respond to other needs beyond English instruction.


---About The Position---

▲ Full Time - April start (possibly sooner)
▲ Monthly salary: ¥240,000 + stipend of ¥30,000
▲ Position includes:Curriculum and material development, teaching English to medical doctors, nurses and other staff, may include translation work and other support tasks outside of an English teaching role.
▲ Driving: Not required
▲ Health Insurance: Shakai Hoken (includes health and pension)

---Key Qualifications---

▲ Native English speaker
▲ Bachelor's degree (or higher)
▲ Engaging, enthusiastic, and dedicated to providing a positive communicative experience for students
▲ Flexible, sociable, culturally sensitive, and experienced with lesson planning, curriculum building, and material development
▲ Previous teaching experience ranging from ALT to ESL tutoring within Japan or in other countries preferred with a strong preference for eikaiwa experience
▲Must have advanced business level of Japanese and be proficient in translation (JLPT N2 or higher preferred)
▲Previous time spent studying or working in Japan is appreciated but not required


---The Role---

For this role, you will be a dedicated English teacher for medical staff. This will require an outgoing personality, with a strong ability to assess your students levels and ability. You will need a creative, flexible, and open minded approach to develop materials and a curriculum to fit their needs. There will be times you will be asked to support with translation or other tasks beyond that of English teaching, therefore, flexibility and a willingness to support is a must.
