Role:

We are seeking an experienced Sales Engineer/Solution Architect for our Financial Services Division, based in Tokyo. TNS Managed Services provide Secure, Private IP Extranet & Managed Hosting service capabilities to serve the mission critical connectivity and infrastructure needs of the Financial community. This role is to provide technical leadership to serve the needs of the community and assist the Sales teams in their effort to grow this community.

This is an exciting position working with the world’s most premier financial institutions i.e. Investment Banks, Hedge Funds, Brokers, Stock Exchanges and Market Data and Information Services Vendors. The Solutions Architect is critical to assuring success both internally and externally on major pre and post sales efforts. TNS offers excellent benefits and competitive salary.

Responsibilities

•As technical lead, develop and maintain strong business relationships with key customer contacts and decision makers
•Gather and understand Client requirements and propose Technical Solutions that meet their expectations
•Provide technical guidance to Sales teams and assist in requirement gathering, verbal presentations, written proposals, Scope of Work and Bill of Material documentation
•Work proactively with Sales teams in Account Development activities, attend Trade shows and contribute and represent TNS on Social Media
•Collaborate closely with internal teams including Customer Engineering, Global Systems, Service Delivery and Sales support to ensure proposed solutions are designed, planned and delivered on time and budget
•Document accurate technical solution with schematic’s for Operations support teams and educate them on Complex design to maintain service excellence
•Provide support to the Operations team where required to ensure quick resolution of problems and address Client concerns or queries promptly
•Participate and contribute towards new product development and enhancement of existing service capabilities
•Learn and share from customer trends, requirements, and overall market conditions
•Lead technical responses for RFP/RFI
•Some Travel to Client sites in US and other region is required

Qualifications

•Bachelor’s Degree and 5+years industry experience minimum
•Experience in Financial Services Industry is preferable with understanding of Trading Systems technology and Market Data environments
•Demonstrate pre and post sales consultancy experience in IaaS, VDC and Cloud / Hosted solutions environments
•Understanding compute technologies, various Operating Systems & their performance tuning for High Frequency Trading needs
•Experience of Network Data Analytics and Visualization platforms such as Corvil
•Proficient in routing and switching technologies, detail understanding of VPNs, MPLS, QoS, BGP, Multicast technologies
•Desirable - Certification from Cisco and/or Juniper CCNP, CCDP, JNCIP, JNCIS or equivalent
•Understanding of Product development methodologies
•Interface with key stakeholders, including end users, engineering, marketing, product management, support and sales, to develop and refine product requirements
•Demonstrate ability to interpret clients business needs and articulate how proposed solution would meet those needs
•Engage in customer-centric product development process through all phases of product life-cycle.
•Excellent verbal and written communication skills with ability to present to clients and produce clear and accurate documentation
•Self-driven with ability to operate independently where needed and team player with ability to participate and contribute towards team goals
