Private junior and senior high school in central Tokyo requires a native English-speaking English literature teacher for our international course.
Either full time or part time.
We do not require any EFL teachers at this time.
The curriculum and content are all fixed and all materials and texts are provided. We are looking for a bright, energetic person with a background in literature who enjoys teaching and is confident that they can provide motivating, challenging lessons to our high-level students up to undergraduate level.
The part-time salary is 3,500 yen per hour, times the number of contracted hours, times fifty-two weeks, divided by twelve. An example, a 15-hour weekly schedule would be paid as follows: 3500 x 15 x 52 ÷ 12 = 227,500 yen. It is important to note that for the part-time position, the amount paid remains constant throughout the year so is not affected by summer or winter vacations or by whether classes are scheduled or not. Transportation costs are also covered and all salaries are paid on the twentieth of the month.
Full-time teachers are offered competitive salaries with the usual benefits and bonuses. The full time teacher would be required to be at school from 8 AM to 5PM, Tuesday to Saturday.
All classes are 50 minutes in length. The regular school timetable is spread across the week from 8:30 - 15:15 Monday to Friday and Saturday mornings 8:30 - 12:25.
Please be aware that we are looking for teachers who can teach our native-level English speaking students.
We need someone who is a native English speaker with a current, valid visa to work in Japan.
