The Osaka Branch of Interac Kansai & South Central Company is seeking applications for elementary and junior high school Assistant Language Teacher (ALT) positions in Oyamazaki, Kyoto starting in Fall 2024.
ALTs are the face of the global community in Japanese schools and have an important role in helping and supporting students to broaden their horizons and develop international understanding. ALTs are also role models in the wider school community. If you are a committed teacher with a strong drive to help students achieve their goals, a position with Interac may be for you.
As an ALT with Osaka Branch, you will teach in public elementary and/or junior high schools and become an essential part of your school and the local community. Your job as an ALT is two-fold: language instructor and cultural ambassador. We are looking for candidates who are positive, professional, and have a love of international communication.
We are also hiring in Wakayama, Hyogo, Hashimoto and other Kansai areas for Fall 2024 and Spring 2025. Please apply if you are interested.
Note: The Oyamazaki position requires commuting by bicycle to the assigned schools so applicants must live or be willing to relocate to Oyamazaki.
Requirements:
★ You must currently live in the Japan
★ You must be a native-level speaker of English
★ You must have graduated from a university with at least a bachelor's degree
★ You must be professional and mature in all aspects of behavior
★ You must be a team-player, flexible, cheerful, and energetic
★ You must have a valid Japanese work visa
★ You must be able to ride a bicycle
Visa sponsorship is available for qualified candidates.
Training
Interac has a paid, comprehensive initial and ongoing training program to support and develop all ALTs.
Working hours
In these positions, the ALT will generally work between 08:00 and 17:00, Monday through Friday.
Remuneration
Salary ranges between 2,400,000 and 3,000,000 Japanese Yen per year depending on the position requirements. Full-time ALTs receive a generous holiday entitlement in line with school vacations throughout the year.
