Private Senior High School English Teacher in Nakano (from September 2021)（到期)

Thank you for your interest in working for Project Genius, a concern of Korakuen English Centre. We aim to be the premier English language consultancy firm for private secondary schools in Japan.

Our client school for this position is a private school located in Nakano-ku, Tokyo. The school is a private co-ed high school well known for its strong athletic programs.

We are looking for someone who currently lives within a reasonable door-to-door commuting distance to the school campus, which is between JR Nakano Station on the Chuo-line and Nakano-Sakaue on the Oedo & Marunouchi Line.

The initial contract for this position is from September 2021 until March, 2022. We plan to offer the chosen candidate a contract for the entire 2022 school year, conditioned on their satisfactory performance as an instructor at our client school.

Our compensation package includes:

• Remuneration of ¥280,000 per month.
• Remuneration is not reduced during summer, winter, and spring vacations.
• Transportation expenses are fully compensated.

Our ideal candidate:

-- currently lives within a reasonable door-to-door commuting distance to the school campus.

-- has a bachelor's degree from an accredited institution. A TESOL certificate from an accredited program or college is advantageous but not required.

-- has a visa which allows them to legally work in Japan. (We will support visa renewals, but we will not consider anyone who does not already have permission to work in Japan.)

-- has at least one year experience teaching at a public or private secondary school in Japan.

-- is comfortable with lesson planning and leading solo and team-taught classes of up to 45 students at a Japanese private school.

-- can work full time Monday to Friday while being willing to participate in weekend and off campus events such as sports days and open houses when asked.

-- can work independently and take the initiative in curriculum design and lesson planning but is also a team player who can be accommodating to our client school’s needs and requests.

-- can keep a positive attitude while working with the staff and teachers at our client school as well as with our off-site office and executive team.

-- possesses native English-level proficiency.

-- wants paid summer, winter, and spring holidays.
