KCLC is now recruiting for an English instructor position starting in late August to early September. Our corporate philosophy is "Do to others as you would have them do to you", and our philosophy on education is "Everyone has value".

Since 1999, KCLC has maintained a solid reputation for helping its students reach their goals through language and culture.

KCLC is a well-established and community-based learning center which provides conversation/communication skills to EFL learners with a focus on tutoring students in preparation for official tests such as the English proficiency test, EIKEN and TOEIC and provide guidance for students whose goals are to study, travel or work abroad in English speaking countries.

We provide private and small-group face-to-face lessons to students of all ages, from young children to seniors, and abilities, from beginner to advanced. We are looking for an instructor who is passionate about teaching and values the importance of education.

KCLC is good for candidates of all levels of experience, whether completely new to teaching or already accomplished in the teaching field, and those who seek a new challenge. Lessons are structured and fully supported with all of the materials and resources you need, ensuring that even on your first day of teaching, with any level of prior experience, you will be well-equipped to teach well-structured and valuable lessons. At the same time, within the structure provided by the textbooks and training, there is ample space to tailor each lesson to the needs and interests of each client, adding value to your lessons while allowing you to continue to refine your teaching skills.

This teaching position is school-based, and the business hours are on weekdays from 13:30 to 21:30 (1:30PM - 9:30PM).

[Job description]

- Teach both private and small-group lessons face-to-face with students of all ages and levels
- Prepare lesson plans and materials before classes
- Record and assess students' performance at the end of each lesson in their designated folders

[Requirements]

ENGLISH: Native/Fluent Level
JAPANESE: Not necessary, basic level
VISA: Sponsorship provided (Engineer/Specialist in Humanities/Int'l Services) - renewable upon periodic evaluations
DEGREE: University Graduate with a Bachelor's Degree in any major, however, majors in Education/Linguistics are preferred.
DRIVER'S LICENSE: International Driver's License/Japanese Driver's License

[Position] Full-Time English teacher

[Contract type] At least 1 year. 2 years preferred. Renewable.
[Location] Kanuma, Tochigi (Northern Kanto Region)

[Hours] 40 Hours/Wk 13:30-21:30 Mon-Fri (including a 60 min break time)
[Salary] Basic Wage JPY230,000~JPY270,000 per month (depending on the number of classes to teach and previous teaching experience)
During the initial three months training period, 80% of the basic wage will be paid. Once the training period has been completed, monthly allowances for performance and student sign ups will be added to the basic wage.

Furnished apartment with WIFI is provided (rent is JPY47,000/mo)

For those who are already in Japan and will relocate to Tochigi, transportation costs will be fully paid/reimbursed by KCLC.
For those outside of Japan, 50% of airfare will be paid and airport pick-up will be arranged by KCLC.
