PYP Science teacher at an elementary school from Sept. 2022（期限切れ）

A private elementary school in northern Kanto seeks a full-time science teacher with a valid teaching certificate in the country of origin, to be hired directly. This is not an international school, but a private school following Japanese governmental course guideline of MEXT as well as IB program, while implementing an English Immersion program. A new teacher would enjoy a multicultural school environment where almost 50 % of teachers are from abroad.

Requirement:
Teaching certificate in the country of origin which qualify to teach science at elementary school
Experience in teaching is required, for +2 years at elementary school
A minimum of 2 contacts of referees will be asked in the process of application.
application documents: resume/cv, valid teaching certificate, degree, transcript, a residence card, and other qualification if any

Experience in teaching science (ideally, IB) is favorable
Understanding the Japanese school system by experience is favorable.
current resident in Japan

One must not fall under the disqualification stated in Article 9 of the Japan School Educational Law.

The successful candidate will be involving other school activities and administrative duties, and other supports when needed.

Japanese language skill is not required but would help communicate with parents.
