Private High School’s English Teacher near Minami Urawa (very near Tokyo)（期限切れ）

Thank you for your interest in working for Project Genius, a concern of Korakuen English Centre. We aim to be the premier English language consultancy firm for private secondary schools in Japan.

Our client school for this position is a private school located near Minami-Urawa station. Although our client school consists of both a junior and senior high school, successful candidates for this position will only be responsible for teaching at the high school. Although the students in these courses will have a typical background in English for students in Japan, the school administration is committed to English language education, as reflected in the school unique, immersion style classes it provides for many of its students. Our instructors at this school are required to teach classes from Mondays to Fridays as well as alternate Saturdays.

We will provide our instructors at this client school a monthly salary of 280,000 yen, with the opportunity for a higher salary for those with the appropriate advanced qualifications and academic background. We pay all our instructors their full monthly salary every month, even during the summer, winter, and spring holidays when our teachers are not required to be on site. Of course, transportation expenses are fully reimbursed, as well. Our experienced executive team is also always available to our instructors to provide constructive advice and feedback. Our ideal candidate will be an instructor who:

-- can work from Monday to Friday as well as every other Saturday,
along with paid summer, winter, and spring holidays.

-- currently lives within a reasonable door-to-door commuting distance to the school campus. The nearest station is near Minami-Urawa Station, a short commute from Tokyo.

-- has experience teaching at a Japanese high school.

-- can design a curriculum and teach team-taught, communicative classes that will meet the needs and reflects the interests of their students.

-- can take the initiative outside of the classroom and the lead inside the classroom, but also be able and willing to collaborate, especially with their co-teachers and fellow on-site Project Genius instructors.

-- is flexible in working with the staff and teachers at our client school as well as with our off-site office and executive team all while keeping a positive mindset.

-- has a bachelor's degree from an accredited institution as well as a TESOL qualification.

-- possesses native English-level proficiency.
