Full Time EFL Instructors for Osaka English Village

Osaka English Village (www.englishvillage.co.jp) is looking for experienced and professional teachers to serve as English Facilitators at its facility located in Suita City, Osaka Prefecture. OEV is a unique facility that utilizes real-world situation rooms to immerse students in an American English environment.

Working under the direction of an English speaking academic supervisor, instructors make use of (and adapt) existing materials and lesson plans in ways to encourage communicative, real-world exchanges between visitors and instructional staff, as well as to lead more traditional after-school and Mommy & Me programs. Candidates with prior experience in non-traditional classroom settings, and/or a background in drama/theatre, physical education, music, or English education background are strongly encouraged to apply.

Full-time teachers on a one-year contract teach eight hours per day (with a one hour unpaid lunch break) and will receive paid pre-service orientation and training, 25 vacation days, 5 sick days, two continuous days off per week (not including weekends), and a 100,000 Yen completion bonus. Salaries range from 210,000 Yen - 250,000 Yen per month. Transportation stipends of up to 40,000 Yen per month are provided to all instructors. Visa processing and housing costs are the responsibility of the instructor.
