Osaka English Village: Instructors Needed
Osaka English Village (OEV), located in Suita City, Osaka, is looking for experienced and professional teachers to teach English full-time or part-time. OEV is a unique facility that utilizes real-world situation rooms to immerse students in an American English environment. We require teachers to hold an appropriate visa (tourist visas are not sufficient), have experience teaching ESL, and hold an undergraduate degree from an accredited university.
Full-time teachers on a one-year contract teach eight hours per day (with a one hour unpaid lunch break), and will receive paid pre-service orientation and training, 25 vacation days, 5 sick days, two continuous days off per week (which may not include weekend days), and a
¥100,000 completion bonus. Salary for full-time teachers ranges from ¥210,000 - 250,000 per month, while part-time teacher receive ¥2,000 an hour. Transportation stipends of up to
¥40,000 per month are provided to all full-time and part-time instructors.
Instructors wishing to work in in a more traditional school setting can apply for positions with OEV’s School House Programs. Teachers for School House programs will lead classes of between 10 – 15 students of pre-school though elementary age students using task-basked and integrated skills activities on a weekly or bi-weekly basis. Instructors will make use of in-house designed materials as well as commercial texts. Experience with lesson creation as well as student evaluation and assessment is essential.

Contract: One-year (renewable)
Start Date: End of March / Early April
Hours: 20 hours per week
Salary: 110,000 - 125,000 Yen per month
Transportation: Up to 40,000 Yen per month.
Sick Days: Two
