Berkeley House Language Center is seeking a cheerful, friendly and experienced English instructor for a full time position from April 2019 in Tokyo area. Main teaching location is a private high school in Tokyo but this position may include multiple venues for the duties.

General Schedule & Conditions:

Working days:
-Five days a week from Monday through Saturday
-Typical one is Monday to Friday but Tuesday to Saturday possible

At high schools, the basic schedule should be like from 8:30am - 5:00pm
-5 lessons on average per day would be typical but could change case by case
-work other than teaching: preparing materials/tests, taking care of extra activities
-supposed to work with Japanese teachers effectively
-Need to work occasionally for school events
-may need to go to multiple schools

At other locations, teaching venues could be
-a private college in Tokyo area
-university extension courses on campuses
-corporate group class at our clients' site
-one to one lessons at our school in Ichigaya

Salary: 250,000 yen a month + transportation expenses + completion bonus at the end of school year; teachers could choose to take a whole month off in Aug if he/she likes with no remuneration that month.

Contract period: April 2019 - Mar 2020

Requirements:

1. Experience teaching at JHS/HS in Japan
2. Native speaker of English
3. Friendly/cheerful personality
4. University degree
5. Team worker
